A short rambling from me today…
I have always been a huge fan of Kristin Chenoweth – from the West Wing, to Pushing Daisies, and of course, Glee. And on Broadway in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown and Wicked.
She’s an incredible artist with a beautiful voice. Today she is releasing an album that shows an entirely new side of her talents.
The Art of Elegance.
It’s classic. It’s genuine. It’s timeless.
It’s everything we need to be as business marketers.
When you are starting out in marketing, there is a set of rules you follow.
- Decide who your customers are.
- Learn what they are interested in.
- Market to them individually, not as a mass.
The longer you are in business, the easier it is to “try new things” and “think outside the box.” This is all well and good, as long as you don’t forget the basics.
There’s a reason why Sinatra is known across generations.
And there’s a reason why marketers still reference Oglvy.
Know your roots. Strive to be timeless. Live on forever.
